How is your money used ?

It goes towards a living wage for the RIM volunteer, and the associated costs of running the program. Across all states, on average a RIM volunteer works in 2 villages.

RIM volunteers are paid a living wage, currently Rs. 1500 (approx. $30) per month.
There is a RIM State Coordinator who works full-time to make sure RIM work goes smoothly in that state. State Coordinators are paid Rs. 5000 (approx. $100) per month.
Other costs are the training of the volunteers Rs. 720 ($15) per month, transportation costs and miscellaneous expenses.
RIM has organized 4 national meetings to bring together the coordinating NGOs and develop the volunteer program. Please see the news and events page for details of these meetings.
RIM has one National Coordinator, Sindhu Naik, to coordinate RIM activities across the country.

The costs for all the activities listed above work out to $2/day for each village.
