How can I help ?

RIM needs committed people to build up a network. If you believe in RIMs goals and direction, you are very welcome to join us.

We feel that the best way to get involved is to start taking part in the discussions or talking to people working in RIM and thereby come to know of the work and how you can best contribute in a way that works for you. .So please join the mailing list and start corresponding with active RIM folks ( send your mails to rimindia_01@yahoo.com).

RIM typically holds atleast 1 general body meeting every year, as well as an all-India Samaj Shilpi training program. These are great opportunities to meet RIM people. You can contact us to find out when is the next such meeting

Join Our Announcement List

Joining our announcement list will enable you to be informed about RIM's progress. (You will usually receive not more than 1-2 email a month). To join the RIM announcement list go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rejuv-india and click on the [Join] link on the top right hand side.

Financial Contributions

RIM needs to augment its financial resources, to scale up and realize its vision. We welcome your financial contribution. Please see the "Contact Us" page and use any of the contact methods there, in order to speak to us about making a financial contribution. In India, all Contributions are 100% tax-deductible under IRS Tax ID # 23-7027461. We can arrange for making tax-deductible contributions in the US too.

Volunteering for RIM

There are volunteering opportunities with RIM in various areas. We are constantly in the process of making field visits, and documenting the work that is being done and updating the website with this information. There are volunteering opportunities in all these areas.

There is an immediate need for help in updating this website and coming up with creative IT usage (like Wiki) to help in RIMs' work.

If you would like to go to a project in India and volunteer for an NGO affiliated with RIM for a duration of 3 weeks to a year, we will endeavor to find a placement for you.

If your interests do not fit in any of these areas, please talk to us anyway and there may be something else that you can do.

Other Ideas

There are other ways too, to contribute to RIM once you are convinced of the value of RIM.

Talk to your family and friends about RIM and request them to make a financial contribution. They (and you) are very welcome to visit projects to see the work going on.
If you are actively involved in an organization or company that is in a position to sponsor the work, please request your organization to make a contribution. If your organization requires RIM to submit a proposal, please send an e-mail to rim_india01@yahoo.com.

Other Organizations/Groups

Karmayog (www.karmayog.com) is a online database of non-profits. It maintains a list of specific volunteer opportunities.
India Together (www.indiatogether.org) is a news and discussion site for development issues.
