Objective: To create public awareness on social issues, ethical values and development of the individual.

Areas of work: Three most important aspects of nation building: linking peninsular rivers, education for the next generation — a new system based on process, skills and holistic living, adoption of 21 villages in six districts.

Programs: Village adoption, where a village cluster of 8-15 villages is identified and a district coordinator appointed. A boy/girl is selected to become a leader in the village. The village leaders work on a 7-point program

• School program (7/10 girls drop-out;child labor):Evening school is held between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.; local person with Rs. 600 per month is employed as a teacher;
• Start a library; read one chapter weekly twice and explain the chapter
• Sanitation
• Self-Help Groups: Thrift & Credit for the women
• Prohibition: 3-4 villages, women prevented alcohol shops from opening up
• Women’s rights and communal harmony
• Entrepreneurship training.
