Objectives: To
combine the developmental activities with a mass movement to bring a meaningful
social change.

To stimulate voluntarism among the people
to organise the poor, deprived and exploited section of the society, to
create awareness among them, so that they raise their voice for a better
society which would be free from exploitation and would have social justice.

To motivate and organise the people,
particularly the rural and urban poor women for their gainful self-employment,
to create their own livelihood through their own enterprises.

To promote and maintain communal harmony.
Programs:

Awareness creation among the rural poor,
particularly among the women regarding health, sanitation and literacy.

Awareness creation regarding basic human
rights and duties.

Organising training for gainful self-employment
of the unemployed youth — leadership development training etc.

Organising and running slum and village
libraries for the neo-literates.

Undertaking research, studies, etc.
to accelerate the process of development.

Publishing journals, books, etc.
