Objective: To forge together a skilled, business-like approach with commitment and enthusiasm among the youth. (For CYSD, youth is a metaphor for active creativity for a humane transformation of society.)

Programs: Capacity building of social animators, participatory research, project management, and competencies for development management at various levels, productivity oriented training on sustainable agriculture and non-farm entrepreneurship.

CYSD capacity building role has been recognised & appreciated at state, national and regional levels and has become an essential aspect of the organisational entity. Quite early, a penchant for ‘ learning by doing’ developed & brought CYSD into partnership with the tribal & urban poor for participatory action in community based development. This partnership has diversified and now includes various action alternatives on different strategic front.
